Fishing was real good this year for stripers in the Merrimac River. Wish they stayed longer up in the river, but we can’t have everything. The smelt are starting to be caught in Rye. NH. PLUGS POND in Haverhill was stocked with small browns and large salmon 8lb to 20lb, hope they last until ice comes. Ice will be coming soon; we start ice fishing on Lake Attitash around Jan 1st hope to have good ice by then. Their was a lot good fishing on Attitash this summer. Hope it holds up through the winter fishing Take a good look at last years derby winners on the front page.
